Series starts today, any predictions? I like the Phillies as a second team after my Indians and it's amazing I'm even starting to be a fan of the Yankees maybe because I had so many of their players on my fantasy teams and followed them...I started liking the Phillies last year after being at a ballgame, the players had a walk around the park before the game talking to fans and signing autographs, we met Howard, Utley, Hamel's and others, all class people taking time to chat and take pictures with you, not many teams will do that and I've been to plenty parks!

I say Yankees in 6 mainly because they're the Yankees and Sabathia is better then Cliff Lee and Rivera is lights out as a closer, Howard strikes out too much and Hamels is a sometimes good but most times a mediocre pitcher.. Which Martinez is going to show up?

Yankees get to number 27 in world series wins...Damn my Indians only have two Crying or Very sad

I am not really a baseball fan, but since a kid have liked the Yankees. I too have a story similar to BBs about class. After the Virginia Tech shooting incident of April 16, 2007, Steinbrenner donated 1 million dollars to the Hokie Hope fund which went to the survivers and family members of those killed. I addition he promised that the Yankees would come to Blacksburg to play the Hokie baseball team and the next sping they did so. These guys hung around campus all day. Visited the April 16th memorial. Talked with students and fans and signed autographs. When the game was over, they hung around for hours again just talking and signing autographs. Whether or not you are a Yankee or even a baseball fan...this team definitely showed a lot of class and compassion.

I too think the Yankees will win the series.

Game 1 was a TOTAL domination by Cliff Lee. What a great performance. C.C. Sabathia looked lost. Chase Utley showed him the way home (deep in right field twice). What was up with the Yankee fans?? You did not hear a peep out of them all night. Even during the player introductions no one cheered (not even for Jeter). WTF?? It will not be like that in Philly. Game 2 tonight. Let's see if Pedro remembers how to pitch a good game in the post season.

Not true!! I saw at dozen of them flipping the bird to Utley as he crossed home (on national TV) You stay classy NY!!! Embarassed

I also heard several of them screaming "hat's off!" at least 1/3 of the way through the 7th inning singing of God Bless America. Rolling Eyes
