| What brings the most people to the pier to fish is the cry " the
spot are running". Not because it is a sporty fish to catch, but for its
value as a food fish. Spot can be prepared in many different ways,
I like them best filleted and pan fried or smoked. Spot are cought
throughout the season, with the big runs and large fish coming in
September and October. Spot are easy to catch on a tandem bottom rig and bloodworms as bait. |
